In this section we present only a small part of the magnetic elements and system produced by MMT Company. We are aware that the presented products might not meet all the needs of the perspective Customer in details (or even in more general issues). However, this list shows the real potential of our Company and also indicates the industrial branch region we work in.

Devices for magnetic processing of water of the MABP® series are the novel and perspective solution presented by MMT Company. Hydromuiltipoles® are special magnetic systems of such devices used for prevention of scale build-up in heat exchange systems. Boilers, heat exchange elements of compressor stations, electrical heating elements of laundry and dish-washing machines can be safeguarded against scale build-up if MMT hydromultipoles® are used at their water input. More than 20000 Hydromultipoles® delivered by MMT Company to the customers ensure an effective protection from scale build-up and also facilitate old scale removal.

Magnetic focusing systems (MFS) for electrical vacuum devices
are the traditional products of MMT Company. Our Company develops and produces MFS with homogeneous, reversal, and periodic focusing magnetic fields for stabilization of the electron beams in multibeam clystrons, traveling wave tubes and backward wave tubes, magnetrones, gyroscopic devices, etc.
In the calculation and design of MFS all the essential parameters are taken into account: real geometry of the interaction volume, cathode design, cathode voltage and beam perveance.

An essential part of permanent magnets the manufactured all around the world is used in production of magnetic systems of electrodynamical loudspeakers.
Magnets based on strontium and barium hexaferrites are commonly used to keep the price of the magnetic system relatively low. However, in a wide range of applications high sound pressure and articulation combined with low weight and size characteristics are absolutely necessary. In this case rare earth magnets are used.
MMT Company has developed and produced magnetic systems with a completely screened magnetic flow. Such systems of the type "Siren" (Lilac) are manufactured for electrodynamical loudspeakers of police, emergency, fire-fighting vehicles etc. Our magnetic systems are unsurpassed on the Russian market according to the complex of parameters.
MMT Company has developed similar devices for the companies that produce audio equipment for cinema halls and show business.

Contactless electrical machines with an active rotor are another perspective field for application of rare earth permanent magnets manufactured by MMT Company. We have established a long-term cooperation with many companies producing such electrical machines both at development and production stages. Our Company has developed a special technological complex that allows to produce multipole rotors of electrical motors with weight in the range from several grams up to tens of kilograms. We deliver certified, bandaged and balanced rotors to our Customers.

MMT Company presents a series of magnetic separators and iron catchers for application in production of flour, mixed fodder, dye-powders, and other dispersed media. Our magnetic separators can be also used in manufacturing of plastic products from polypropylene and polyethilene granules. We produce separators with both traditional and novel design.

We have developed another device from this class, a magnetic separator for removal of ferromagnetic impurities from drill liquid before it goes to a vibrosieve. This drill liquid separator is manufactured for oil and gas producing companies that use the technology of side-track boring for enhancement of oil recovery.

MMT Company in collaboration with Design Company "Mir", which is the largest Company Russia producing equipment for public entertainment, has developed the magnetic system for vortex current braking (MSVCB). This system is applied in the entertainment complex "Free fall tower" to reduce the velocity of the carriage weighing 1500 kg after a free fall from 22 m high to less than 1 m/sec. The maximum braking force is approximately 3000 kg.
The principle of the MSVCB is based on the interaction of vortex currents in bulk conductors during their motion in magnetic field produced by the magnetic system. The vortex currents interact with the magnetic field and originate the force counteracting the motion, according to the Lenz's law.

MMT Company also produces:

  • powerful magnetic systems for complexes for non-destructive diagnostics of long-legth ferromagnetic constructions, including oil and gas trunk-pipelines

  • multipoles for plasma confinement systems

  • magnetic systems for milling catchers used for repair and recovery of oil and gas wells

  • systems for taking the load off the bearing units of vertical spindles (magnetic bearings)

  • magnetic clamps for various applications with release force form 15 up to 3000 kg

  • various probes-indicators of ferromagnetic inclusions

These devices and several others are presented in section General purpose magnetic systems.

An applied software package "BEMS" developed by the employees of MMT Company is used for mathematical support of the magnetic system design. This package allows a thorough analysis of the configuration of magnetic systems and the topography of magnetic fields generated by these systems.
This package makes use of the advanced capabilities of modern computer technologies that allow to extend the range of complexity of designed systems and solve the problems in three-dimensional formulation with input data and results visualization. The principal algorithms of the "BEMS" package are based on the numerical techniques for the solution of mathematical physics problems described in scientific literature.
Practical results of application of this package are realized in the design of more than 300 magnetic elements, magnetic systems and complete products with different production volumes. Basic groups of such products are presented in Section «Typical product designs».
