Rare earth permanent magnets are widely used in production of rotors and stators of modern electrical motors and generators. Application of rare earth magnets in oil-filled ac converter-fed motors offers special advantages. Use of high-energy magnets allows to reduce the rotor diameter and increase the rotor-to-stator gap. Both of these factors lead to the reduction of hydrodynamic losses in the gap, and heat production in armature coils and the magnets, and thus to enhance the motor efficiency.

MMT Company has a great experience in development and production of rotors for electrical machines for a wide range of applications. Here are just a few examples:

  • micromotor for dentist equipment (18 W at 0...40 000 rpm);
  • instrument drive (2000 W at 0...18 000 rpm);
  • special drive #1 (32 000 W at 0...6000 rpm);
  • special drive #2 (24 000 W at 0...12 000 rpm);

Multipolar rotors of ac electric motors (ac converter-fed motors)

Our Company produces in lots 4-pole and 8-pole rotors for special drives.
Special technological complex of MMT Company allows to perform all the operations for the production of multipole rotors for electrical machines, including the following:

  • production of permanent magnets;
  • mounting of the magnets on the previously balanced spindles;
  • banding of the assembly;
  • finishing treatment of the banded assembly;
  • final balancing of the rotor;
  • complete control and certification of the geometry and overall magnetic properties of the products;
  • rotor packaging.
Thus the Customer can receive complete certified and balanced rotors with weights in the range from several grams up to tens of kilograms ready for assembly into the electrical machines.
